Visit by the President of India

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, stopped by the University of Bern on September 12 ahead of his official visit to Switzerland. In his speech, he underscored the importance of Bern's climate and sustainability research as well as Switzerland’s exemplary education system. Shri Ram Nath Kovind and Rector Christan Leumann then planted a magnolia tree in memory of Mahatma Gandhi.
