New Center for Precision Medicine

The University of Bern and Insel Gruppe founded the Bern Center for Precision Medicine with support from the canton. Precision medicine takes individual traits, such as genetic predisposition, environmental factors and patients’ lifestyles, into account during treatment to create personalized therapies. The new center, which opened in May, creates synergies and strengthens Bern as a medical location.
